The day we went to Abi's and explored the nature reserve...

Last Sunday I went round to see Abi's new flat with Paula, Chris and Colin, and we had so much fun - lunch at Jamie's Union Jacks, taking in the views from the roof top garden and exploring the nature reserve behind the flats.













London February 21st - March 7th (part 1)

I just got back from the UK last night where I had such a great time seeing my parents, grandparents and friends. Unfortunately I didn't get to see my sister on this occasion, as she lives on the Isle of Man, but I did get to see my friend's from university Laura and Kev, and their new baby which was so exciting! I also got to see Abi's new flat which she just moved into the week I flew over - talk about good timing!

On the first Saturday of my trip Paula, Chris and I headed to Nando's for some chickeny goodness and then on to Piccolino for some drinks. We initially sat inside at the bar but quickly realised we were next to a huge block of stinky cheese and all the raw fish. Even though I love cheese this was too much, so we moved outside where it was actually not too cold as the overhead heaters and blankets kept us warm.


On the second Saturday I met up with Paula, Chris and Colin for lunch at  pizza express and then a tour of the Houses of Parliament which was really interesting. It's always surprising how much smaller things are in real life compared to when you're seeing them on TV.





On Monday my mum and I went to Portobello Road to try and find the DariMeya shop after we had discovered the one on Carnaby Street had closed. Although the website lists the opening time as 11am it didn't actually open until 1pm. We had almost given up on it but we were still browsing the other shops in the area and stopped for a bite to eat at Gail's Cafe, so after that we went back to check for one last time and were in luck! I picked up a new dress and a top in the sale :)
