Jasper 26 - 29 July

We arrived at The Whistlers campground in Jasper on the Friday - my birthday! Nice campsite, just a few minutes drive outside the town of Jasper.
Mike got a growler of the local IPA beer.

The next day we went to the bottom of The Whistler mountain and prepared to hike to the summit!
This is the Jasper tramway - most people just get the tram both ways.
Details of the hike
And we're off! The first part of the walk was just narrow pathways among the trees and bushes. We got pretty wet as it had been raining so much the night before the bushes we all wet and we were pushing against them at the start.

Having reached the station we're now on the last kilometre to the summit. And there's ice still on the ground.
Made it!
Waiting for the tram to take us back down. We're worn out.
This is the mountain, taken from the town of Jasper. You can see the upper station on the right of the top of the mountain, and then the summit a bit to the left.
